About

KidazzleInk-Michelle Davies-StuhmckeHi I’m Michelle Davies-Stuhmcke and I write and take photos under the name of KidazzleInk and Kidazzle Images.

I’ve just returned from a fabulous holiday where we travelled through several countries and along three rivers on a European river cruise with the wonderful Viking team.

I’m now trying to capture a few of the memories here so that I don’t forget just how wonderful it all was. Might I say, we were definitely a couple of the lucky ones as I know some of the later river cruises were interrupted by all of the terrible flooding this year.

If you have had some similar experiences to mine or I’ve brought back some interesting memories for you too, I’d love you to add them in the comments on my blog pages and share them with us all.

I hope you enjoy some of these memoirs.

  13. Hi, Michelle. Thanks so much for the follow. So glad you also enjoyed your Viking cruise. It was a wonderful experience, which I’ll never forget. 🙂

Yes it was really great. It was one of those exceptional holidays where you are able to just unpack the once and then relax and let Viking look after you while you decide on how much or how little you’d like to do.We chose to keep fairly busy everyday. We decided we wanted to see as much of Europe as we could as this was my first visit. I’ll now look forward to reading more of your blog too. I may post a few more links back to it if that’s O.K. with you.

Hi Michelle, Thanks for visiting my blog and following. My husband and I love to travel, and cruise is one of the most convenient ways to see many places. I haven’t been on a river cruise yet and hope to go one day. I look forward to reading more about your journey. Your pics are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing with us! — Mrs. J

It’s lovely to hear you’re enjoying it. It seems to make it so much more worthwhile writing it when other people enjoy it too.. I very much enjoyed visiting your blog today too.

  15. Great blog, Michelle, and thanks for liking my Holland post. You may also like the other posts on my blog, btw 🙂 I look forward to seeing more from you and will definitely be following you.

Thank you for your lovely comments. I’m glad you’re enjoying some of the ramblings on my blog. I must say I do enjoy writing them as it seems to take me back to that exciting time when everything was close to perfect…no stress, heaps of being pampered and spoiled, wonderful food and fun things to see.

  16. Very nice blog, beautiful pictures of known places (e.g. Bad Gastein and Gastein Valley) and other favorite Austrian destinations.

    • KidazzleInk said:

Why thank you. I’m really enjoying writing it as it takes me back and in a small way I can feel I’m still there and still enjoying my holidays.

Your images bring back some wonderful memories of our times in the mountains and lakes of Austria – Mayrhofen and Zell am See our favourties but Kaprun and Seefeld also fantastic 🙂

    • KidazzleInk said:

Hopefully when I go back I’ll get to see Kaprun. I’ve heard it too is magical.

      • dawnhosking said:

It’s really lovely and not far from Zell am See which is just beautiful. The air at the top of the mountains is so fresh. We were so fortunate when we went a few years ago as it was a glorious September! Sun all week, the week before has snow – either would have been great. We went in August to Mayrhofen one year and it had a good rain. The scenery is amazing though so we can not resist.

I’d love to go again at that time of the year. I’ve seen some pictures of it in late summer.

Hope you get to go again – and I hope that I do too 😉 We normally go with Inghams as they are so very organised and reliable.

  18. We did a river cruise from Budapest to Prague last year and it was probably the best vacation we’ve ever taken. I posted several blogs about our adventures along the River Danube. I think we crossed some of the same territory as I have a picture of Mozart’s birthplace taken from almost the same spot you took one. When we were there it was pouring rain. I titled that blog post: “Soaked in Salzburg.” We will be back soon I hope.

    • KidazzleInk said:

Yes it truly was a great way to travel. We saw so much, and in complete comfort. If it wasn’t for our work we’d probably try to get to Europe again sometime soon. I just have to believe that one day we’ll both have lots more time.
