We both really enjoyed our small bus tour out into the Hungarian Countryside. We went to visit the small city of Kecskemet and a Hungarian farm where we saw the most amazing horsemanship.

The entertaining Gypsy musicians that played for us during our traditional Hungarian three course lunch.

Love your pictures! I know I say this about an awful lot of places, but I’d like to explore Budapest and Hungary in more detail, having visited only briefly last time.
these photos are full of life Michelle, how marvellous … horsemanship, music, culture … people are wonderful everywhere 🙂
I really enjoyed this as it was different to everything else we’d been doing. Really topped off the end of the holiday nicely.Oh and thanks you again for the comments re my photos. It was a great subject.
It’s great to see a personal account of your travels (always with great photos too), and that sounds like a good idea to only partly plan the trip in advance. I love that photo that has the vines/plants growing all over the building, just beautiful.
yes we saw a few buildings in Europe like this…very romantic I think aren’t they.
For sure 🙂
You certainly packed such a lot of sightseeing into your trip, Michelle. Great photos again. 🙂
Thanks again for your lovely comment Sylvia. When you travel 28 or so hours to get across to the other side of the world you do tend to try to see a lot all at once! Aussies tend to do this especially I think. And it was all so wonderful.
The countryside looks like you took a step back in time. How long did it take you to plan this trip? It seems you had something wonderful to do every day.
We didn’t really plan a lot of the excursions in Hungary until we got there and could see what was available in Spring. Although our wonderful Hungarian Neighbours and talking to others on our Viking cruise both helped. We at least had a bit of an idea about some of the things we would like to see. It was our first and will probably be our last trip to Europe for quite a few more years so we wanted to make the very most of it Mindful.
